Crosstown Brewing Co.
Boscos is a real brewery: all of Boscos’ unique craft beers are brewed and sold on-site, and you can’t find this Memphis beer anywhere else. You can drink it with your meal either at the bar or on the terrace (as Boscos is the only one on this list that operates as a full restaurant), or you can fill up a growler to take home.
They serve lunch and dinner on weekdays, as well as Saturday brunch and Sunday brunch. Bosco’s was the first place in town to brew craft beer on a commercial scale, before bars were even legal in Tennessee. No tours.
Crosstown Brewing is open for on-site consumption, both indoors and outdoors, as well as beer pickup (you can order online).
Crosstown Brewing opened in 2018 in its own building just west of the elevated Crosstown Square. They have plenty of seating both inside and outside. If you don’t want to drive around, you can order online for pickup or even home delivery. Informal tours on request – currently not available.

Grind City Brewing in Uptown is open (and you, they have a huge outdoor space, so please spread out!) You can also grab a beer.

Grind City Brewing is a Memphis brewery located in Uptown, about 5 minutes/1.2 miles north of the Boss Pro Pyramid on Second Street. They have indoor seating and a spacious outdoor area with great views. Tours are not available at this time.

The small but mighty Cracker is located behind the Rec Room on Broad Avenue and they also have a small patio – it can fill up quickly so be sure to practice social distancing or grab a beer to go! It’s also close to the Hempline bike path so you can bike to Overton Park or the Greenline.
High Cotton Brewing is a Memphis brewery located in Edge County near downtown near Sun Studio. They have indoor seating as well as a covered terrace and are connected to Edge Alley Cafe. Tours are currently unavailable. Usually on Saturdays at 3 p.m.
Located in Cordova, Middlesome Brewing is a bar with indoor and outdoor seating and regular food trucks. They also offer homemade craft beer and soda. Tours are not available.
Creative Reuse Saves A Memphis Building
Memphis Med Laundromat is reopening with expanded outdoor seating and extended hours. They still have beer and they also have food trucks.
Memphis Mad Brewery and Taproom at Cooper Young has plenty of indoor space, a sheltered patio area overlooking York Avenue, and a wide open area with an I Love Memphis mural.
Soul & Spirits Brewery in Uptown has a great selection of Memphis-inspired craft brews, a spacious bar with long benches, a large bar, a play area and a quiet room. The entrance is dog friendly.

Wiseaker is a Memphis brewery with two taps. The original location on Broad Avenue offers limited indoor seating and a large outdoor seating area. The downtown eatery opened in summer 2020 and features plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as plenty of artwork and a sculpture garden.
You can buy beer at the bars below, and you can order Memphis beer from many bars, restaurants and stores. Check out the brewery; Most of them have a list of where to find them.
If you’re hungry, most of these locations have a regular schedule for your Memphis food truck. I’ve found it’s best to check social media, especially Instagram. I’ve linked to the brewery and IG accounts in each section below.
High Cotton Brewing Company (memphis)
Most do not offer tours on a regular basis, but if you have a group, you can call and make arrangements. Wiseacre is an exception; They offer tours of both of their bars by booking in advance on their website.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t recommend you check out Hammer & Ale, which has over 20 beers on tap, mostly local. They offer pints and tastings, so if you only have time for one stop but want to try all the beers in Memphis, this is your choice. They also serve sandwiches and have indoor and outdoor seating.
