Road


Jennifer Reither- Road Captain
Jennifer returns to Vanderkitten-Focus in 2011 as the road captain after an amazing 2009 where she won a Silver Medal the Master’s National Elite Track Championships for the Points race and won the first-ever Women’s Gold Medal in the Madison at the National Elite Track Championships as well. Jennifer is a Southern California native and multiple-time California State Champion. She currently lives and works in Northern California in the bicycle industry.

Current New Zealand U23 Champion Emily Collins joins Vanderkitten-Focus from Cyclosport in New Zealand and a full season with Swabo Ladies Team in the Netherlands. At only 20 years old, Emily has an impressive Palmares that includes multiple European top 10 finishes, 5th at the NZ Road Titles and 2nd at the Honda Insight International GP in Australia

Starla Teddergreen- All Around/ Sprinter
Starla has been racing for several years out of San Francisco for teams like Dolce Vita, Sugar CRM and now Vanderkitten-Focus. A punchy sprinter, Starla has proved her ability to make strong moves and come over the top of unsuspecting NorCal strong women- her win at the 2009 Davis 4th July Criterium a case in point. Starla is a graphic designer and does freelance design for Bay Area cycling companies.

Jasmin Hurikino This stellar Aussie kid had an outstanding initiation to US racing in 2010, winning the prestigous Cats Hill Criterium in Los Gatos, CA as well as the AT&T Butterfly Criterium. Watch out for her ferocious kick and exemplary use of Aussie slang like “Wake up Australia!!” and “Ease up Turbo!!!”

Maura Kinsella is a promising young US rider- 3rd in the 2010 USA Cycling U23 national TT Championships, Maura has not been out of the top 5 in the US champs in TT, Crit and Road in the last 2 years!! One of the best young riders in the nation, and proud to be a kitty!


Anna Lang- Sprinter, Track Sprinter
Anna Lang is a big-name American cyclist who excels on the Track and as a devastating finisher and has raced for teams like Aaron’s Women’s Professional Cycling team. Anna won a Gold Medal at the 2009 National Elite Track Championships in Team Sprint. A northern California native, Anna splits her time between Washington D.C. and San Diego finishing her PhD in Earthquake Structural Engineering.

Vanessa Drigo- Vanderkitten Focus’ own Swiss Miss!! One of the most consistent finishers in Californian racing in 2010- this feisty rider can do it all. Look for Vanessa to be on the attack with VK in 2011!

Jennifer Weinbrecht – SoCals new addition for 2011, dont let this sleek kitten fool you!! Based out of San Diego, Jen has been one of the standout performers over the last 2 seasons, there is barely a weekend goes by where this rider doesnt put herself on the podium, whether it be in sprints or when it goes uphill.


VK Virginia Captain:

Laura Cooke-Time Trial/All-Around
Laura is a multi-time Virginia State Timetrial Champion , VA BAR All Around Best Rider, recipient of the Peter Teewun Awardand the captain of the Vanderkitten Virginia Beach cycling club chapter with over 50 members! Laura excels in all styles of bike racing from TT to crits, and is the total package on and off the bike. Starting her 2010 season out with a win, this Cat 1 will ride with the Vanderkitten Elite team at select events for the 2010 season.

Action Sports

Jennifer Lauritzen- Motorcycle Road Racing
Jenn trains for the fast-paced, knee dragging sport of Road Racing on her road bike. Reaching speeds of 130 mph, Jenn races against the boys and in the all-womens Diva class.
